“Ancient China” includes many cultures and time periods, with so much material we have a responsibility to help young people not just recite but connect with historical knowledge.

Maybe we’re looking at how far women have come, or how much they have been set back?

Maybe we want to show our daughters that women can be homicidal tyrants too?
